Turbo Tax Error in calculating partial 2021 HSA contribution?
I've been working on tax projections, and I think I've found an error in TurboTax's calculations as today's date.
According to the tax code, those over 55 can contribute up to $4600 to an HSA for CY 2021 ($3600+1000).
I was eligible to contribute to a HSA for the first 5 months of 2021. So that means 5/12 of $4600 = $1916.67
When I enter the 5 months into Turbo Tax it reports back that my total eligible HSA deduction is $1896 - a difference of $21. This is incorrect. (I made the contribution as noted above - so it's saying I overcontributed by $21....)
It appears that the limit for HSA contributions in this case HAS NOT been updated from the 2020 limit of $4550.
Am I wrong in my assessment? Can this be updated?
Thanks.
