Counterintuitive, follow these steps:
- Go to federal, deductions and credits.
- Scroll down to Tax relief related to COVID
- Select self-employment tax deferral.
- Click update
- Say yes to defer - trust me!
- Then enter zero for income during that time frame
- Done
- back to deductions and credits page
- Select self-employment tax deferral again
- Select no to defer
- Done
