I'm not sure which version of TT you are using. I use Deluxe from a CD on my laptop. I found a work around if you want to itemize and it won't let you. Go to the "Forms" screen. This is a bottom at the top right for me. It allows you to see the forms and worksheets generated by TT. From the forms shown on a menu on the left, click on "Info Wks". Scroll down to Part VI and click on the first of 3 boxes which says you want to itemize even if the standard deduction is higher. Hope this helps.
