You need to verify the amount of property tax that was paid during 2020. Check the records with your county to be sure that you know the amount that was actually paid.
If there is an amount entered with each Form 1098 that is reporting mortgage interest, then they will be added together and reported on Schedule A Itemized Deductions. If you have two Form 1098s from the same mortgage company, but for different accounts, then the property tax may be included on both forms. If you verify that the total amount paid is being reported in full on both Form 1098s, then enter the property tax number with only one of those forms and leave the second one blank with regard to property tax.
