This does not work. You cannot just delete the 300. You have to put some amount from 0 to 300. I tried with both 300 and 0 and still getting the same error.
My charity contributions are already added in the Donations to Charity. I donated more than $300. The $300 is added by TurboTax because it states on Line 10a (Enter the smaller of these cash contributions made or $300 ($150 if married filing separately) on line10b below if you take the standard deduction).
I even tried removing ALL charitable contributions and going through and it still had the same error.
I never added this $300 to the form, this was done automatically by TurboTax when I filed. I did not have this issue when filing. I am amending now and it is giving this error. My amend has nothing to do with donations and that part was never touched. I simply added a 1098 and then went to finish my amend filing and this error popped up.
