Follow these steps:
The QBI should be picking up your sch E rentals. You must have marked that you actively participate (in the property profile section) and select the QBI election.
- Return to the rentals
- Edit each rental
- Review property profile
- Mark that you actively participated,
- click Done with Rental Property.
- The program asks Other Situations?, continue
- Profit or loss, continue
- Do you want to use a safe harbor? Make the election, continue on
