"except i changed to no tax deduction on my ssa1099" - what does this mean, that you changed your withholding to zero for 2020?

As you know, we in the Community cannot see your private tax data.

However, if you paid for TurboTax Live, you could call the credentialed TurboTax Live agent and ask him/her to look at your return to see why the change.

As a credentialed tax preparer myself, I can tell you is that the first thing we would do is to pick up your 2019 tax return and compare it line by line to your 2020 tax return. The difference will likely be apparent immediately, and then you can ask us about it.

I can add that in my experience, older taxpayers on Social Security often get a surprise tax bill when they take a large distribution from an IRA or 401(k) plan. This extra income can cause previously untaxed Social Security to become taxed, and even the withholding on the distribution won't cover the tax on the new income.

So, compare your 2019 and 202 returns and tell us what's different.
