I tried your suggestion for TurboTax Online, but I still need help.
After clicking GO on standard deduct & exempt, the next screen does not give me an option to select between standard and itemized. I get a different screen - "Great, we're all done with tax breaks". When I click continue on that screen, then I get the Charitable Cash Contributions under Cares Act screen. My screen includes only a box to enter the amount and doesn't refer to either standard or itemized.
I input 300 and click continue. The program proceeds thru the next steps and the review of the federal return starts, and then this $300 comes up as a review item.
