Thanks for responding.  When entering the info from the 1099-R form from my employer, Turbo Tax asks you how much from the pension was paid for the health insurance premium.  I entered the total annual amount. It does not asks you if it was pre-taxed or not.  When you enter that amount, it automatically enters it under Medical Expenses of Schedule A minus 3,000 because of being a public safety officer. I can not delete it from "Medical Expenses" without issues arising with the inputs or deletions.

Note that i do not qualify for medical expenses with the 7.5% of my income being subtracted from the total medical expenses minus the health insurance premium anyway, so I did not add anymore out of pocket expenses just to have a zero amount under medical expenses when i complete Schedule A.
