You should be able to enter real estate taxes paid on your principal residence on your Schedule A.
As always, you will need to enter the taxes to the nearest dollar...$.49 and below is dropped and $.50 and above is rounded to the next whole dollar. Of course, you would not enter the $ (sign).
The tax section of the Schedule A is limited to $10,000 deduction this year. If you are trying to enter more than that amount, that might contribute toward your problem.
