My point is, why is page 4 numbered and and printed if there is no personal info on it that is needed or used by the IRS, and why is there a line/space for entering the number of boxes checked on page 4?
Why not rely on the boxes checked on page 1 for everyone and the Standard Deduction generated on Line 12 by those boxes, rather than have everyone that files by mail confused by whether of not a blank page 4 needs to included in their filing?
