Deductions & credits
If you only made contributions to your HSA through your employer via payroll deductions, then entering your W-2 with its box 12 code of W is all you need to enter.
However, if your made after-tax contributions on your own (independent of your employer), then those contributions would be entered in the Medical section. You would have to enter them to calculate a deduction and complete Form 8889 properly.
Other forms connected
to your HSA:
Form 1099-SA - You would receive this form if you used HSA funds to pay for qualified medical expenses. It reports distributions from the fund. You will need to enter this form. Contact the custodian of the account if you had distributions from your account and have not received this form.
Form 5498-SA - You would receive this form if you made contributions (employee and employer) to your HSA account. You won't enter this form in TurboTax. Keep for your records.
