I have a daughter who turned 17 on 12/20/2020. I normally don't have to file a tax return because of low income. I did not file a 2019 tax return. When the first stimulus checks came out I had to file a special form online with the IRS in order to get the first stimulus check and the payment did come for both of us- $2400. The 2nd stimulus check came last month but it was for only $600, with no payment for my daughter. I have created a tax return for 2020 and just show a little bit of income with zero tax due and claim my daughter as a dependent. When I get to the section about stimulus payments I show $2400 rec'd for the first payment but only $600 for the 2nd payment. It does not allow the missing $600 for my daughter. Is this correct? Turbotax info shows that she qualifies so long as she was 16 in 2019, which she was. Help please !
