Yes, this year you can claim $300 as an adjustment to income (line 10b) if you made a cash contributions to a charitable organization, while claiming the Standard Deduction.
- Open you return
- Click "Federal"
- Click “Deductions &Credits” on the top
- Click "I'll choose what to work on"
- Scroll all the way down and click the "Done with deductions" button
- Continue after the "The Standard Deduction is right for you!" screen
- Continue until the "Any charitable cash contributions" screen
- Enter the charitable cash contributions you made (up to $300).
