Deductions & credits

If used for personal purposes, your travel camper must have sleeping, cooking, and toilet facilities.  If your travel camper meets these conditions, then it could be considered a primary or secondary home.

As long as the trailer is security for the loan used to buy it, you can deduct interest paid on that loan.

If it applies, please do the following within TurboTax:

  • Federal Taxes
  • Deductions & Credits
  • Your Home (section), Show more
  • Mortgage Interest, Refinancing, and Insurance, click Start
