You can enter the sales tax paid on the car purchase to see if you qualify for a sales tax deduction. Entering Sales Tax Deduction:

• Select Deductions and Credits
• Select Show More at Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
• Select Start at Sales Tax
Additionally, if you pay personal property tax on a vehicle and/or registration fees, you can also include that in your calculation of itemized deductions.
