My son graduated from college in December of 2019; in the 2019 tax year, I claimed him as a dependent and, as such, he did not receive the COVID stimulus payment AND my wife and I DID NOT receive payment for him as a dependent, as he is NOT dependent in 2020. The literature at the time indicated that because he is NOT a dependent in 2020, he can claim a tax credit on his 2020 return for the full amount of the FIRST COVID stimulus payment.
How do we claim that credit on his 2020 tax return in Turbo Tax?
