How do I know if I have paid property taxes? My 1098 has a box 10 that says Real Estate Taxes Paid with a dollar amount and a hyphenated 2 above it. The notes for the 2 say that the information in box 10 is for informational purposes only and is not being furnished to the IRS. Neither the lender.
