Filing without a US address and Self-Employed Foreign Earned Income Exclusion Issues
Hi all, I'm trying to file my taxes as a self-employed US citizen living abroad and have problems filing because I "must have a U.S. address in order to register".
Is there a workaround to this? This is extremely frustrating since I spent the whole afternoon doing my taxes only to find out now that I can't go ahead without a US address. I don't have a home, nor friends or family there, so I'm not sure what to do.
I also don't have a US card since I never lived there (I left the country immediately after being born), will that be an issue too?
Lastly, I applied for Foreign Earned Income Exclusion but it does not deduct Self-Employment Tax, even if all of my income was from foreign sources. Is this correct?
Thank you
