Were you covered by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) no later than December 1, 2019? If not, you can't do it for 2019
If so, you should be able to do it, making absolutely sure that the HSA custodian knows that it is for 2019.
If the HSA custodian hesitates because your HSA was created in 2020, in the worst case, you can ask them to open a new HSA (you can have more than one) for 2019, make the contribution, then later roll the 2019 HSA into the 2020 HSA.
You have to do this by Wednesday of this week (July 15th).
