I live in Arkansas. Last year, we paid personal property taxes, but it was for the assessed personal property in the tax year 2015. Can we deduct that amount we paid?

We paid 264.99 in ad valorem personal property taxes last year for our two vehicles.  Turbotax says that this value can be deducted using itemized Schedule A 1040.  However, we always pay this tax for the assessed items for the previous tax year.  In this case, we paid this tax on September 14, 2016 for what is listed as 2015 Personal Property on the receipt.  Can we deduct this amount?
