Deductions & credits
Thanks for the reply.
I called my HSA bank and here is what they told me.
I had excess contribution in 2018 ( adult son dropping off plan) which was $156.16 which the bank moved to 2019 So it shows up in the second 1099-SA form for 2019
I had excess contribution in 2019 as well (for my age my max contribution limit is $4500) so the bank moved that to 2020 but will show up for 2020 taxes.
So the bottom line is I have no excess contribution for 2019 .
So this leaves me with 2 questions:
1. As I understand form 5498-SA is for my records only. Does TurboTax software needs me to upload it?
2. I do need to upload both 1099-SA forms to TurboTax. Correct?
Thanks
