I sold a home in 2018, and used the home energy credit in 2009 for that home. I moved into my new home in 2018, and completed an insulation project in 2019 that also qualifies for the home energy credit, but is being limited due to the credit that was used in 2009. Does the credit taken in 2009 offset the 2019 credit if each credit was taken on a different home?
