Deductions & credits

There are several ways to do it. Which is best for you depends on a few things.

 - Is this building a physically separate structure from your main residence?

 - Is the "entire" structure you built, including the ground level garage to be used for your AirB&B business?

 - Are the utilities (gas, water, sewer, electric, etc.) metered separately from your main residence?

 - Do you receive a physically separate property tax bill for this new construction? (I expect no, but it "must" be clarified.)
