i need to know if Medical Expenses paid in 2019 are deductible. It took a long time and much expense to even get the Insurance Companies to pay for anything! I finally received checks from them in May 2020 which covered less tan 10% of what we were forced to pay out of pocket while we were stranded in French Polynesia while my Husband was in the Hospital Is there any deductions that I can Deduct? i.e Cost of Travel Insurance Policy, They only paid 23.00 per day on Hotel bill and only for 1/2 days I was in Tahiti! I was shorted on the airfare Cost to return to USA! I was not paid for any meals ! If I can Deduct the charges I paid out of pocket in 2019 for my husbands care and then deduct the reimbursements from the Insurance Companies, it would Help! as my husband is still very ill with complications of our trip
