1099-Misc Business vs Communting miles
Good Evening,
I received a 1099-Miss form from the custom event center where I bartend events. My name is the business name and my physical address is the business address in my turbo tax business profile. When I work an event I travel from my home aka home office directly to my clients for work and then back to my home/home office when finished working. It is approximately 70 miles round trip. Would these miles be considered commuting or business mileage? I'm confused because I have seen different answers from different tax experts, and don't want to make a mistake on my taxes and cause a red flag. Can i deduct these miles for business? Also, if I have to go to the event center (worksite) for business errands such as for a meeting with the client, or to pick up my paycheck would these miles be considered commuting or business mileage?
Thank you in advance!
