The wording for the first entry box under Wisconsin Adjustments for Pre-2011 Contributions has not been updated since 2015 and therefore has been incorrect for 4 years! It says "Value of HSA(s) on December 31, 2010 minus any distributions in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014". I never understood what it was getting at since every year it said to subtract distributions through 2014. When I left it blank this year, the Check This Entry message correctly states "... less any distributions made in 2011 through 2018." My entries have never activated the Check This Entry message before this year. I just used up my 2010 HSA balance in 2017 so last year the numbers on my tax return were incorrect due to this error in Turbo Tax instructions. I no longer have the same level of trust in Turbo Tax that I did prior to this.
