Deductions & credits
Unfortunately, Employee Business Expenses were eliminated with TCJA. They are no longer deductible.

Is renewing nursing license deductible? I’m confused on what if any expenses can be deducted as a nurse if work related expenses have been eliminated

Deductions & credits
All unreimbursed employee expenses have been eliminated, so unfortunately there is nothing that can be deducted.

The above answers apply if you are a W-2 employee. However, if you work as an independent contractor (your income is reported to you on a 1099-MISC instead of a W-2), the expenses you mention would be reported as a business expense on Schedule C.
