You can enter the property taxes in the Federal section TurboTax by following these directions. The property taxes will transfer to the state section.
In TurboTax Online:
- While signed in and working in TurboTax
- Click on Federal in the left-hand black menu
- Click on Deductions and Credits
- Scroll down and click on Show More next to Your Home
- Click on Start or Revisit next to Property Taxes
In TurboTax Desktop:
- In the Federal (or Personal) section of TurboTax
- Click on Deductions and Credits
- Click on Choose what I want to work on
- Under Your Home, click on Start or Update next to Property Taxes
