i spent a couple of hours on the phone with a TT support agent and now it is working, but i really don't know why. we couldn't get Glance, their screen share app, to work, so we tried a bunch of things. she had me turn off the windoze firewall and a couple other control panel things, but i don't think that made any difference.  she thinks TT got updated in the process, but i have updated TT several times and nothing we did today looked anything like the usual update process. i normally run as a standard user, but we first got it working while i was logged in as administrator. now i am back to running as standard user and it is working.
