Deductions & credits
Business Insurance should be reported on your Schedule C. In the desktop program (Home & Business), try these steps:
- Open/Continue your tax return
- Click on the Business tab at the top of the screen
- Click Continue
- Select I'll choose what I work on, then Continue
- Click Update next to Profit or Loss from Business
- Click Edit next to your business
- Scroll down to Business Expenses
- Click Edit/Update next to Other Common Business Expenses
- Select Edit/Update next to Insurance Payments
- And finally, Edit/Update next to Business Insurance
