Deductions & credits

The Trump Administration's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (aka Tax Reform) eliminated the Affordable Care Act penalty in tax year 2019, so no, if you have form 1095-B and/or 1095-C  health insurance.

If you have form 1095-A, yes, you'll need to visit the health insurance section of TurboTax to calculate your Premium Tax Credit.

To quickly get to the Heath Insurance section of TurboTax:

  1. Type health insurance in the search box and search.
  2. Click on the "Jump to health insurance" in the results box.
