Double-check to make sure that not only is the Social Security Number listed on your return correct, but that the name associated with the SSN is input correctly.

What generally happens is that SSNs must match up with names that have been previously associated in the identity database, so there could be a mismatch if names are not entered correctly.

That being said, if you continue to have a state rejection, you'll have to print and mail your state return.
