Hello, I am currently trying file my tax returns (TurboTax Free) and I am trying to determine if I itemized my deductions on my 2018 State return. I looked up how to check it and got :
- If the amount on Line 40 of last year's Form 1040 ends with a number other than 0, you itemized.
- If this amount ends with 0, it's likely you took the Standard Deduction.
- If this amount ends with 00 or 50, you probably took the Standard Deduction.
- If your return included Schedule A, you itemized.
On my previous return it only shows up to Form 1040, Lines 22-23. After this it is the schedules. no other 1040 lines. How can i tell if I itemized?
