Yes, if the school tax is a part of your real estate taxes. Per IRS Topic No. 503 Deductible Taxes the only taxes that are deductible are:
- State, local, and foreign income taxes
- State and local general sales taxes
- State and local real estate taxes, and
- State and local personal property taxes
If the school tax does not fall into one of these categories, you cannot deduct it.
