Working away from home/out of state write offs.
I live in Alaska and worked in Reno for six months as an electrician, not contracting, I collect a W-2. It was temporary work, verifiable by a travel letter and end date. During the time I lived in Reno, renting/sharing an apartment and flying back and forth, what expenses can be written off? Rent, utilities, meals/per-diem, flight cost?
Also purchased a vehicle while I was down there, not sure if any write offs counted towards that.
