Deductions & credits
Even though you no longer have a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and don't qualify to make contributions to your Health Savings Account (HSA), you still may have an HSA with money in it, that you are able to use for your current medical expenses.
- If you took the $25 from your HSA, you'll get form 1099-SA from your HSA administrator.
- You'll have to enter the 1099-SA form in TurboTax. To enter the 1099-SA form, see the TurboTax FAQ: Where do I enter my 1099-SA?
If you didn't take the $25 from your HSA, you may not have to enter it. See Can I Claim Medical Expenses on My Taxes?
