Job didn't take out federal taxes for 2019

Were you working as an independent contractor?  Did you notice during the year by looking at your pay stubs that no tax was being withheld?  Did you receive a 1099Misc instead of a W-2?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to correct this. The tax withheld from your wages is put in an account for you so that when you file your tax return, your taxes can be paid from that account. If there was nothing paid in, you will have to pay your full amount of tax when you file your income tax return.

You should complete a new W-4 form with your employer to insure that taxes are withheld going forward.
