@mrwzzrd As Critter said near the beginning of this thread, the initial release of the new tax software is known to be incomplete. It will be refined by numerous updates over the next couple of months. The calculation of the taxable amount of a state income tax refund has not yet been updated to account for last year's tax law changes. The IRS has not yet issued final instructions for this calculation for 2019. The TurboTax staff is aware that this needs to be updated. After the IRS has issued the final instructions, TurboTax will be updated to do the calculation correctly. At this time there is no date set for when this update will be done.
