Claiming Adult Children in School

Hello,

So I read that I'm able to claim my Daughter at the age of 19 on my taxes if she is

1. Attending college.

2. Makes less than $10,000 annually.

Questions:

1. The legal reading does state what length of time she needs to have been in school. Can one semester count?

2. Does being on college trump the fact that she might have made $12,000 within the year? Meaning, if she made $12,000, but yet was in college for at least a semester, can I still claim her on my taxes?

Thanks in advance. People say you should ask a tax professional. Do I really need to at $325/hr. LOL
