My daughter was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitus (EoE) in February 2016. She has had a g-tube for 100% of her feeding since March 2016. Is she considered disabled?
Although she is sick (vomits a lot) and in a lot of pain she does go to preschool and swim class and interact with other children her age (3 ) in a normal setting. Her only restrictions are no food by mouth (only formula through the g-tube every 2 hours) and she does not play in a sand box or a beach. She does have a diagnosis of EoE and allergies to all food. She sees several specialists for her disease and we travel to see these specialists. She has also had 5 surgical procedures this past year due to her disease and feeding tube.
