Any tax court citation prior to 2018 no longer counts. IRS Publication 587 was updated for 2018 in line with the tax law changes for 2018-2025. Take a look at the publication at https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p587.pdf on page 6, bottom of 2nd column. Clearly states that lawn care is not a deductible expense.
