The rule is whether you qualify to be claimed by someone else as a 2020 dependent, not whether they actually claim you. - So how would I go about filing my tax file for 2020 and to receive the 1,200 and 600 stimulus? I can't file to have them re-do their taxes just to an amendent, can't I just file my 2020 without them putting me down as dependent for 2020?
