I would recommend talking to an agent about getting a refund. You should be able to do this through the chat in TurboTax Online unless you want to set up a call back..
If you have the software already load on your PC, download your TurboTax .tax file from TurboTax Online through the Tax Tools menu. While in your return in TurboTax Online:
- In the left hand column select "Tax Tools"
- Select "Tools"
- Select "Save your 2020 return to your computer"
- A pop up will ask you to save your .tax2020 file.
- In TurboTax Desktop, open the file you just downloaded (Probably in download folder) (Use link Find a Tax File)
- Enter Forms mode by clicking on "Forms" in upper right hand column
- Now click "File" in the tope menu bar then "Remove State Return"
Now you can go back to Step by Step in the upper right hand corner and add the state return back in. You also may want to try making your changes to the state in "Forms" mode before deleting.
