Try to delete the state online and see if you can get a good return online. This is what I want you to do:
- Click that you want to add a state - no you don't want to, it's a back door trick
- Now you are in the program without it thinking you want to amend
- Delete everything that isn't related to your original filing.

- Save a copy that matches your original filing if possible.
- Correct things and make a decent NY return.
- File it.
