I moved to another state mid year. What will TurbuTax do for me in sorting out my income and deductions? It looks like TurboTax is putting all my income into one state.

I moved from South Carolina to Virginia midyear. Nearly all of my income is social security and investments (I imported most of that detail).

Turbotax seems to be showing all my income in the former state, and none in the latter. It is asking me some questions about Virginia, but putting numbers in there doesn't seen to reduce my South Carolina income. It's asking nothing about South Carolina beyond the date I moved.

My basic question is now much will TurboTax sort out and whether I have to make spreadsheets and manually enter most of the information particularly the 1099-B stuff.

Also, how to I allocate the charitable contributions which are entered in TT without dates?
