Do I need to file in California as a non resident? I think no but TurboTax makes it seem like I do...HELP PLEASE
I am a NJ resident who worked in California for a few days this past year. My total income for the year was $70,000 of which, I made $1,000 while working in California. Based on the fact that I am a non resident of California and my income from all sources of CALIFORNIA income is less than the amounts shows in this chart (https://www.ftb.ca.gov/forms/2018-California-Tax-Rates-and-Exemptions.shtml#ifr) do I need to file? I would think no; however, the TurboTax software says I should file. Any thoughts? Thanks!
