State tax filing
It depends. California will provide a one-time payment of $600 or $1,200 to eligible recipients. To qualify, recipients must:
- Have filed their 2020 tax return
- Be either:
- A CALEITC recipient
- An ITIN filer who makes $75,000 or less (total CA AGI)
- Be a California resident on the date payment is issued.
For California taxpayers that filed 2020 California income tax return, you may be eligible to receive CALEITC under the following guidelines:
- Taxpayer will receive a California Earned Income Tax Credit (CALEITC) with a valid SSN of $600.
- Taxpayer with ITIN will receive a CALEITC of $1,200
- Taxpayer is not a CALEITC recipient, but file with an ITIN and made $75,000 or less (total CA AGI) will receive $600.
