Ohio to Pennsylvania move in July 2020 - Does TurboTax Desktop handle my situation?
I have two general set of questions on whether of not TurboTax Home and Business Desktop can handle everything automatically and what do I need to do for a relocation scenario between OH and PA.
- I was a resident in Ohio from Jan to end of Jun 2020 and then relocated to PA for rest of year
- I was living in OH in May and Jun but being paid from company in PA. They seemed to handle the reciprocal agreement OK by only taking out OH tax for May and Jun. Once I moved first of July only PA state taxes were taken out for rest of 2020 since I moved there on July first.
I fully understand that I need to submit resident state taxes for both OH (Jan to end of Jun) and PA (first of Jul to Dec). Is there anything else I need to submit for the May to Jun timeframe when I lived in OH and was paid by employer in PA?
The second portion of this question is will TurboTax home and business handle this all automatically or will I need to massage the numbers based on when I earned the income? Will it be smart enough to know about the reciprocal agreement between the states and to handle the taxes associated with the May and Jun timeframe correct (with all the other OH income I earned from my previous OH employer while living in OH)?
Thank you in advance for any and all help.
