Homestead credit programs, provide tax credits directly to taxpayers. Qualifying homeowners receive a discount on their tax bills or a rebate equal to a certain percentage of taxes due or a fixed amount.
To edit the homestead credit on your state return.
- Login to your account.
- Click the State tab on the left side of the screen.
- Click continue through your state return until you reach the Homestead Property Tax Credit screen.
To delete the homestead credit from your return.
- Login to your account.
- Click Tax Tools from the left side of the screen.
- Select Tools from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Delete A Form link.
- Click Delete beside Homestead Credit.
